LIMITED EDITION HAND MADE SLEEVE, NUMBERED

It's that time again and to celebrate The Superimposers are releasing a very limited, hand made sleeve, 6 track CD.

Yes "Christmas Again!" the infamous Christmas song from The Superimposers which grows each year like a rolling snow ball gathering snow is released with extra production from Shawn Lee. He's thrown Mandolin, Tubular Bells, Drums, Jingle Bells, Bass, Electric Guitar and a whole lot of Christmas Lovin' at it. This song is going to get a release every year until we end up on the revived Top Of The Pops on Christmas day at the No1 Spot.

To keep in the Christmas vibe there is a brand new version of a favourite Superimposers song, "Would It Be Impossible". "Would It Be Christmas" is a music box version of the song. You know one of those little wind up toys you can get, well DAN SOLO and I nearly drove ourselves mad punching out those holes on the music paper which is used to create the music. So I hope you all enjoy it!
Also on the EP is a revisit to "the love came a 'tricklin down" and "Chasing Christmas" which also includes Shawn Lee. There's a remix of "Kicking Around (O amor aparece)" from our good French friend Lisbonne who has decided to sing it in Portuguese. (Catch her perform it live with The Superimposers.) Finally, there's an antidote to all this Christmas lunacy where The Superimposers get away from it all with a trip to Hawaii on Boxing Day. "Xmas In Hawaii"

To go with all the music there's also a hand made stamped sleeve which will all be numbered. All this done by the band themselves!!!

Okay, waffle over......heres how you get one.

You are invited by the Wonderfulsound Members Club to get the first chance at buying this very limited, hand numbered EP and you can get a copy right now by following these simple instructions:

1) Get yourself a five pound note. This is for a copy of the EP and for all first class postage and packaging. When the EP finally hits the shops it will actually be about £6.50, maybe even more.

2) Wrap this five pound note in a piece of paper, on which you must

Write the address where you want the EP sent,
Enclose a Christmas message of which some will be read out on the next Christmas Edition of the Wonderfulsound Libraries.

"AN ELECTRIC HARP THAT SITS ON YOUR LAP, MADE BY SUZUKI."A colourful vision and the sound of Alice Coltrane suddenly comes to mind, I asked to see it. From the back of his den of Antiquaries he pulled out a brown suitace with a gold Suzuki signature sprayed across it. Without even opening the case I asked If I could borrow it, "SURE" was his reply. The Superimposers are back and packing an 8 track ep. it features the original radio edit of 'The Northern Song', the new track 'Hanging Around' and six remixes of other nuggets.

'The Northern Song' still sounds immense in all it's 60's bathed glory and 'Hanging Around' follows on with it's hula rhythm and catchy whistled hook. remix wise - Shawn Lee smooths out 'Golden' adding a touch of strings and a soundtrack feel which sounds like Brain WIlson's Band popped in, bringing with them their bass harmonica, Ashley Beedle distorts and roughs up 'The Northern Song' in a SFA style with added psyche and zooey sends in the wooden block on 'Autumn Falls'. add a couple of dubs and you got it all wrapped up. a killer release.

Available in a hand crafted package and with a small number being made there will only be a limited number available at the wonderfulsound shop www.wonderfulsound.com or at selected retailers.

Arthur Russell, a man who knew a thing or two about creating a wonderfulsound. Premiering this week around the world. Here's what the ICA say.
Arthur Russell was a farm boy from Oskaloosa who moved to New York, via a Buddhist commune in San Francisco, where he worked and played with artists as fantastically varied as Philip Glass, Allen Ginsberg, Nicky Siano and Richard Hell. A pioneering disco producer, cellist, composer and singer-songwriter, he died aged just 40 in 1992, and is only recently getting the wide, often obsessive, audience he deserves. This film, a moving and absorbing portrait, uses rare archival footage and commentary from Russell's family, friends, and closest collaborators, including Glass and Ginsberg, plus plenty of his brilliant, beautiful dance tracks.Wild Combination: A Portrait of Arthur Russell Trailer

Back in 2002, a gaggle of soundesigners and musicians gathered in small a central London recording studio and compiled a CD. After a years worth of time spent with various session Musicians and Artists from across the globe the music was ready to be released.
150 were pressed and passed to everyone and anyone.
Eventually a limited 12” was released comprising of people’s favourite tracks
A 7” was cut and The Superimposers bore their debut release.

Every now and again, somebody makes contact and expresses their love for “the track with the fireworks in, really soulful but dramatic” “I’m into the I’m Mad one” or “you got to release the little girl talking song… everybody I play that too loves it!! That’s a hit!”

So it is our pleasure to revisit this 35 mins and 9secs of…. well, for us it’s nostalgia.

Celebrating Christmas in true Ronnie Lane style,

'Christmas again' evokes childhood memories of early 70's Top of The Pops Christmas shows. You can almost picture the streamers and confetti flying around the tv studio whilst members of the audience gather around the stage swaying back and forth with holly in their hands and party blowers in their mouths. 'Christmas again!' carries on perfectly, where 'Love me for a Reason' left off. There's definitely some British Dylan-isms going on throughout the track whilst the lyrical imagery puts you right where you want to be at this time of year, in fact, if you were to play this record in July, it'd still give you that Christmas feeling! That's how good it is.

On the flip side to ‘Christmas Again’ we have another seasonal instalment from DAN SOLO entitled ‘XMAS IN HAWAII’. Christmas can be a magical time but a chance to leave the cold and the usual Boxing day turkey left overs behind in exchange for beautiful sunshine, golden beaches and hula girls is obviously high on DAN SOLO’S Christmas wish list. So in true “get me out of here” fashion, we are treated to the lapping waves, ukuleles and Honolulu harmonies of Christmas in the sunshine. Sounds like a good idea!
